problem solving and error codes
DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM?
The print result is very vague, white or black lines appear or lines are printed while feeding paper.
This indicates that the media in the printer does not match the media set.
Remove the media and go to: Start> Control Panel> Devices and Printers> right mouse click on the printer> printer utilities> Printer Settings Utility> Media Settings. Select the correct Media source. This is Fanfold paper for Fan-fold paper and Roll paper for paper on roll.
If you use a large diameter roll and an Unwinder, you must select the Enable Selection or Large diameter roll paper at Option. This unlocks the Large-diameter Roll selection as media source and Full-page label continuous paper at Media detection settings.

This indicates that there is media jammed somewhere in the device or that there are remnants in front of the sensor. There are several solutions for this.
Reload the media .
If media is loaded incorrectly, the paper may jam. Remove the media and reload.
Make sure the media setting is set correctly.
See - Media Size Error.
Check if the correct media detection method is being used.
See -Media Form Error.
Make sure there are no older print jobs in the queue.
Go to Start & gt; Control Panel & gt; Devices and Printers & gt; double-click the printer. The queue is displayed here. Select all print jobs and delete them.
Check for residues or residue for the sensors.
Check the inside and path of the media for residues or dirt. You can remove residues and the residue must be cleaned.
Clean sensors.
At the valve, which you first have to open to load an internal roll, you will find the sliders for adjusting the vacuum width, and there is a mechanical sensor. Check whether it is trapped or clogged with dirt. The pin must protrude approximately 3 mm. In the event of contamination, you should carefully clean it with a clean, lint-free dry cloth.
Check whether or not the Paper Feed Guide is loaded.
When using media with external feed, you must use the Paper Feed Guide. This is the transparent blue colored plastic part that needs to be mounted behind the Gap and Blackmark sensor. This must be replaced during the use of an internal roll, otherwise damage may occur.
Restart the printer and try printing a label again.

My Maintenance Box needs to be replaced much more often than before.

This indicates that the cutter detects that the media has not been cut after cutting twice. This is due to wear or too heavy material. The blades of a TM-C3500 can cut an Epson backing 1,500,000 times. If the backing is thicker, this number is reduced.
Replacement of the knifeReplacement of the blade is possible. Please contact us or your supplier for this.

This indicates that a printer part is almost at its specified end. This part must be replaced.
Send for maintenance
If this message is displayed within the warranty period, we advise you to contact us. If you do not have a spare printer and cannot do without during the repair period, inquire about the possibility, availability and costs of a loan unit. To be able to judge which part is at its end, we need a code that appears after "Service Soon". For example: "SERVICE SOON A3". We need this complete code to determine which part is involved. In some cases, you must send the printer to us to find out exactly what the cause of the report is.
I have not been using the printer for so long, how is it possible that I already get this message?
The printer not only has a lifetime in time but also in quantity. The message can therefore occur when the length or number of cuts has been reached, but it can also be due to the ink pump that is at its maximum. It can therefore be due to time but also to intensive use of the printer.
If you contact contact us, we can always take a look at how this can actually be done and we can assess this. We are happy to help you!
This indicates that the ambient temperature is too low.
Solution
Make sure the printer is in a room where it is at least 10 degrees Celsius. Heat the room (possibly provide extra warm air to speed up this process) to above 10 degrees Celsius.
We recommend that you perform a printhead maintenance twice before use and also remove the ink cartridges from the printer and shake them well. If necessary, perform a nozzle check and start a manual cleaning cycle.
